Lackford Lakes book signing

A fine day was enjoyed at Lackford Lakes on September 30th.  Books were signed, cake was eaten (I had the good fortune of a fund-raising coffee morning being held at the centre and a plentiful supply of homemade cakes) and some of the reserve's rich wildlife was enjoyed among the most-pleasant surrounds of the visitor centre building.  This Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve always ensures a most pleasant visit, whether restricted to the centre, as I was on this occasion, or wandering the wet woodlands, scrub and open paths between the bird hides and their excellent vantage points over the numerous lakes and ponds.  And for once the day's weather was fair, which hasn't proved to be the case for previous signing days this year!
